ANP at the Premiere of “Radius”

The premiere screening of Radius: A Short Film this past Saturday night marks a big turning point both for The All Night Party, and for Cincinnati musicians.ANP in Lights

Why a turning point? The production of this film and the choice of the talent involved strongly aligns local original music with the arts. From launching Radius at MPMF, to sourcing music from ANP bands for the remixes, Radius offers a 360° perspective of how music licensing groups (ANP), digital agencies, sound houses and film studios can work together with Cincinnati’s people, to benefit the creative arts community.

ANP’s logo was one of the most prominent on screen during the film’s credits. I won’t pretend otherwise…I was pretty excited to see it, and very proud of the work we did to earn our space there. We are definitely honored to be one in a star-studded cast of companies that contributed to this film’s creation, including Possible Worldwide, Artswave, Sonic Arts and Lighborne.

Learn more about the film, as well as to watch a video on the making of Radius: A Short Film below (the movie includes fan remixes from The Sundresses, Fists of Love, The Seedy Seeds and songs from mallory and The Proper Authorities, while both the film and the “Making of” piece features a remix of The Lions Rampant’s “Blood” by DJ Empirical)…

Giant Wow at Full Throttle

Giant Wow’s had a great year in licensing, but their latest placement opens new territory for the band and The Party with really natural connections: Rock music, amusements and speed meet at Full Throttle Indoor Karting.

The commercial spot is above, a promotional trailer below…

What Is Radius?

Why bury the lede: Radius is the world’s first game-sourced film being assembled by RippleFX Films from photos and materials generated by fans participating in the SCVNGR and mobile web based game during MPMF.11. It’s slated for release in February 2012, and was sponsored by a group of  local companies including marketing giant Possible Worldwide, Sonic Arts, Lightborne Communications, MPMF and of course, musicated by The All Night Party with the help of 15 great local bands, featured separately on the posters (as shown here).

During MPMF we weren’t really allowed to say much about it. But MPMF is over, the game completed, and we’re proud to show off (and explain) what all the beautiful billboards, installations and posters hung around the festival and midway this year were all about… so now that you know, enjoy the show.

Stay tuned for the release in February!

Cincinnati Bell Keeps It Up: Fall Campaign Features Giant Wow

After a successful campaign featuring Sohio, Cincinnati Bell ramps it up again, this time with Giant Wow providing the soundtrack.

Yeah, we know it’s a commercial. But if you believe in giving real bands an opportunity to show the value of real music (versus needledrop and canned library fare), you should give this a click.

Cincy BBB Torch Awards… With Music by Sistern!

Each year Cincinnati’s Better Business Bureau holds a banquet to recognize businesses for their commitment to ethical trade and integrity. That’s something we support strongly here at The All Night Party, so we’re proud they chose music from one of the many artists we represent, Sistern. Their song, Perfect Presence Sound, graces their website, and accompanied the awards themselves. Check it out:
