While I haven’t checked it out, I wouldn’t be surprised if it even sounded good. Small 1 watt amps like this can be killer; most people don’t realize that in normal listening situations, stereos rarely crack a watt – some of the most cherished Fenders are just 12 watts, while many vintage Marshalls heads pack a mere 50 watts in those giant cabinets.
The past 100 years were the fluke – music has always been a participatory art, not a spectator sport. As The Beatles storm Rock Band in the age of Guitar Hero, this makes a lot of sense. We like it.
