Now, about The All Night Party… We let people call us a “record label” in the press, but the truth is that term no longer works any better than the major record labels still using it. Modern record labels partner with artists willing to place big bets on their careers (kind of like casinos), by loaning them money against future earnings (like a payday lender). That’s not us.
We exist to help artists make records, and sell music. We don’t place bets, or encourage you to gamble with your career – we work with working artists to develop a fan-base and career. We have no lending operations – we work for hire, you’re our boss. Things we release under our name, “on our label” so to speak, are projects created in real partnership, so shares of rewards are directly proportional to risks taken by either party.
We have big plans. We want to grow the market and opportunities for artists, first in Cincinnati, and soon region-wide. We’re certain there are literally thousands of new fans around the area, ready to discover new music. The problem is no one’s bringing the rock. We’re here now. Ready to go.
